What we offer
Basic House Manners provides owners with the steps they need to train their
dog to do basic commands. Sit, down, stay/place, and come when called will be
covered. Advice and info on housebreaking, crate training and leash
walking will also be provided. Written lessons will be provided.
On The Road will provide the dog owner with the opportunity to practice their basic skills. This package consists one or more lessons that take place at various outdoor locations, such as a schoolyard, shopping center, etc.
Competition Training will provide the foundation and fine tuning of competition obedience and rally skills needed to compete in obedience and rally events in all registries--AKC, UKC, CDSP, ASCA, APDT. Rules and handling strategies will be discussed, as well as information on how to register your dog with the various registries and how to find and enter events, if needed.
Canine Good Citizen is a program developed by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1989 as a 10 step test of good manners for our canine companions. It shows that our dogs have had some training and are able to behave politely around other people and dogs. It is open to ALL dogs--both purebred and mixed.
Conformation handling is the set of skills used to properly showcase your dog in the breed or conformation ring, from correctly stacking (or standing) your dog to gaiting or moving the dog around the ring. It enables the handler to show off his or her dog to the best advantage.
